DAY 1 (Saturday): BARCELONA / ZARAGOZA / MADRID Depart at 8am from the Hotel Caqtalonia Suite for Zaragoza, Capital city of Aragon, and a short stopover including time for refreshments, continue to Madrid. Overnight. |

DAY 2 (Sunday): MADRID / TRUJILLO / LISBON After breakfast travel via the beautiful medieval town of Trujillo, the birthplace of some of Spain’s greatest conquistadors, to Lisbon, the Portuguese Capital, for accommodation at your selected hotel. |

DAY 3 (Monday): LISBON Breakfast is followed by a half day panoramic sightseeing tour which includes a drive down Liberty Avenue to Rossio, the very heart of the city and Alfama, the oldest and most picturesque quarter. Continue your drive along the river-side to Black Horse Square. Next stop is Belém tower which includes the chance to enjoy some local food favourites straight from the oven to you. Next the Monument to the Discoveries. Continue to Jerónimos monastery, a marvel of stone lacework and then the coach museum. An afternoon at leisure allows for your own exploration of the history, culture excellent restaurants and the style of Lisbon, one of Europe’s oldest cities. Perhaps a visit to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril. In the evening consider a club/restaurant to experience the “Fado”, the soulful almost melancholy uniquely Portuguese singing style. Accommodation. |

DAY 4 (Tuesday): LISBON / FATIMA / LISBON After breakfast depart for an important centre of pilgrimage for the catholic faith, Fátima, the site of the famous apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Statues of Saints surround the neo-baroque limestone basilica, 65-metre tower and esplanade which is twice the size of St Peter's square where the Chapel of the Apparitions marks the site of the first apparition. Free time has been allocated to visit the shrine. Return to Lisbon for overnight accommodation. |

DAY 5 (Wednesday): LISBON / MERIDA / SEVILLE Breakfast prior to your coach departure to Merida and a visit of the city showpiece, the Roman Theatre, still used today as a venue for classical drama and concerts. In the afternoon return to Madrid. |
