2018 Itinerary:
Day 1 (Saturday):                  ARRIVE MADRID
Madrid airport arrival transfer to your hotel, your day is free (perhaps book an optional evening Tapas Tour or Prado “Skip the Line” Afternoon Tour). Accommodation.
Day 2 (Sunday)                      MADRID
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Madrid. Find the medieval origins of the city, like the Arabic fortress, at the Barrio de la Morería, characterised by the antiquity of its buildings, drive through the courtesan district of the Hapsburgs characterised by Phillip II and his Renaissance and Baroque style buildings, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor and Plaza de la Villa; the Madrid of the Bourbons and the complex town planning schemes of Charles III, the Royal Palace (visit inside), Cibeles and Neptuno Fountains and the Puerta de Alcalá. Admire the 19th century works such as Prado Museum. The contemporary Madrid with areas such as Gran Vía, Castellana, the district of Salamanca, Plaza Castilla and Parque del Oeste, as well as commercial and financial zones of Modern Madrid, the emblematic Las Ventas Bullring and the Santiago Bernabéu Football Stadium. The afternoon is free to continue exploring the wonders that Madrid has to offer. Accommodation.
Day 3 (Monday)                     MADRID / CORDOBA / SEVILLE
Depart from the Julia Travel Bus Terminal (Plaza de Oriente) at 0830. Drive along the land of Don Quixote “The Man from La Mancha” to Cordoba, one of the oldest and most historic cities in Spain, take a city tour including the impressive Mosque and Jewish Quarter and then continue to Seville. A wonderful city, regarded by some as the romantic capital of Andalucía, visitors can understand why this city is the setting for the Operas Carmen, Don Juan & Figaro as well as being the home of the fiery flamenco; they feel it in the narrow streets, squares, courtyards and colourful patios of the Santa Cruz district. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 4 (Tuesday)                    SEVILLE
After breakfast take a Panoramic city tour including the Cathedral (outside only), Santa Cruz Quarter and Maria Luisa Gardens. The afternoon is at leisure to explore the city, perhaps take a river cruise along the Guadalquir, or a visit to the pseudo reconstruction of Pontius Pilates House (Casa de Pilatos), which began in the 16th century and presents an interesting blend of mudejar, gothic and renaissance styles with its beautiful patio, elegant fountain and ornamental minerva statues. Dinner and accommodation. Optional Flamenco tour.
Day 5 (Wednesday)               SEVILLE / COSTA DEL SOL
After breakfast, free time in Seville before an early afternoon transfer to the Costa del Sol. Dinner and accommodation.
Day 6 (Thursday)                   COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast, dinner and accommodation. Your whole day is at leisure. Optional tours available.
Day 7 (Friday)                         COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast, dinner and accommodation. Your whole day is at leisure. Optional tours available.
Day 8 (Saturday)                    COSTA DEL SOL
Breakfast, dinner and accommodation. Your whole day is at leisure. Optional tours available.
Day 9 (Sunday)                      COSTA DEL SOL / GRANADA
After breakfast depart for Granada, a glorious city immortalised in song and verse, overlooked by the majestic snow covered Sierra Nevadas. Visit the Alhambra and Generalife Gardens, the last stronghold of the Moorish Kingdoms up to 1492, an amazing monumental environment. Dinner and accommodation. Optional Gipsy night tour to attend a Flamenco show at Sacromonte quarter.
Day 10 (Monday)                   GRANADA / TOLEDO / MADRID
Breakfast, then depart for the Imperial City of Toledo (World Heritage city), where the three cultures of Spain (Christians, Moorish and Jewish) have lived together. Enjoy a tour of the most important city monuments, its narrow streets and the famous “Damasquinado” (gold and silver inlaying in iron). Continue to Madrid. Accommodation.
Day 11 (Tuesday)                  DEPART MADRID
Your tour finishes after breakfast; transfer to Madrid airport (depending on your departure time, perhaps book an optional Prado “Skip the Line” Afternoon Tour.) END OF SERVICES.
