Coach pickup from nominated hotel at approximately 9:00am and travel 60kms, via the coastal road, to Frigiliana, a quaint “white village” of painted houses. Consider visits to the old Fortress and the 17th century renaissance Church of St. Anthony of Padua or perhaps the Archaeological museum which features the Phoenicians, early settlers of this region. For shopping and relaxed browsing you may wish to visit the artisan and craft shops of Calle Estanco, perhaps for some of the beautiful regional pottery.
Next the coastal town of Nerja, with its narrow, winding streets flanked by houses with colourful balconies overflowing with fresh flowers. For something different walk to the Rio Chillar Waterfall or perhaps a walk to El Paseo, the tree lined promenade to the Balcón de Europa, for magnificent views of the Mediterranean. Perhaps a Horse and Carriage tour of the town. It is also possible, depending on available time, to take a local tour to the Nerja caves which contain the oldest cave paintings in Spain.
