INCLUDES: Cappadocia area hotel pick up and drop off, minimum one hour flying, champagne ceremony and flight certificate. A shorter flight is available - details available on application.

 

DEPARTURES: Sunrise every day weather permitting. Previous years have shown a 95% flyability record. Drop offs after breakfast, usually around 9am to 10am.

 

PROGRAMME: We choose the take off point en route each day depending on the wind direction. We use over 30 different sites in the area in order to fly over the most interesting landscape as, once airborne, the balloon will travel free as the wind. Preparation of equipment takes about 30 minutes and the passengers are welcome to help or take photographs.

 

The flight is about 1 to 1 and a quarter hours, it includes both low contour flying and also going high enough to see the whole landscape from above. Because the balloon is separated from the earth no sensation of fear or vertigo is experienced by the passengers. It is not colder in the air than it is on the ground on any particular day. After the landing and packing of equipment we offer a celebration with excellent local champagne and present flight certificates to participants before returning to hotels for a late breakfast.

 

CONDITIONS: No age limit for adults, children 6 to 12 years half price. Bring appropriate clothing for the time of year, sensible walking shoes and plenty of film for the camera!Kapadokya Balloons is a registered limited company based in Turkey. Lars Eric More from Sweden has been flying for over 30 years, accumulating more than 6000 hours as pilot in command of balloons of different types and sizes. He has worked as a design engineer for record high altitude burner systems, he was instrumental in the preparations for Richard Branson's trans Atlantic and trans Pacific successes with the Virgin hot air balloon. Lars speaks 5 languages fluently and is a trained chemical engineer.

 

Kaili Kidner from England has been working with balloons since 1980 and has over 3000 hours. She worked in France for an exclusive American/French company organizing exotic ballooning holidays in France, Italy, Switzerland and Austria. She created the company with Lars Eric in order to develop Cappadocia as "the most spectacular and exciting ballooning location in the world".

 

The Team - All of our pilots have a minimum of 700 hours and accumulated at least 5 years experience flying in the Cappadocia region. We have a fully trained ground support crew and a friendly professional team in the office. The combined skill, experience and passion for ballooning of the pilots and staff will make all the difference for the good experiences shared with our discerning passengers!
